My birthday tomorrow

It’s my birthday tomorrow and already I have had some presents. When we went to see my mum on Saturday, she gave me a lovely vase, dish with lid, candle and book by Helen Dunmore.

And tonight when I got home from work, these were waiting for me on the doorstep from my daughter…..aren’t they lovely?

Saturday 28th June – Harry’s birthday

Yesterday ]Sat 28th June] was Harry’s birthday and so we went down to the Leigh on Sea folk festival to see a band he enjoys called Slow Loris. Slow loris opened the festival in the library gardens. It was quite good but the sound quality wasn’t very good and I’ve heard them do better.

Friday 27th June

Had my blood test today. The woman managed to get the blood [ all 4 tubes of it] first go so that was good. The feeling of relief as I left was great….just need to wait 2 weeks for the results now.

Thursday 26th June

Have been to the doctors this morning and he has put up my medication and has given me the paper work for a blood test. Tomorrow I’ll have to be brave and go to the hospital for the test. Not looking forward to it as they can never seem to find a vein.

Big Session 2008

Have just returned home from a weekend away at the Big Session festival in Leicester. Had a great weekend catching up with friends from all over the country and listening to great music.
