New bag

I’ve just finished making a new bag that I want for tomorrow when I go to a meeting/course. Am really pleased with it.

Harry’s 50th

Today is Harry’s 50th birthday and as I reminded him this morning, he now has to say he’s in his fifties and nor forties!!!!!!

Here is his birthday cake ….a little small but as his nickname is Tigger I had to get it for him

Second Bucket bag

Have just finished my second bucket bag. Have lengthened the handles by a total of 4 inches and think its much better

Had a go at this bag tonight but as it was a try out I used some fabric that didn’t matter if it went wrong. Not a disaster but not great. Have definitely decided that the handles need to be slightly longer. Also need to tack the binding first so that it’s neater. Also not [...]

Big Session in Leicester

This weekend we went to the Big Session in Leicester. Was a great weekend , meeting up with friends from all around the country, chatting, drinking and listening to some great music from Oysterband, The Demon Barbers, Karine Polwart amongst many others

Festival at The Steamboat Tavern

The following weekend we went to the festival at the Steamboat which is by one of the cuttings near the centre of Ipswich. Once again there was plenty of dancing:

End of May Half term

It’s ages since I have posted so there is loads to catch up on. Towards the end of half term we camped with some friends at a site near Woodbridge. Much to the amusement of other campers , up went my bunting:

Suffolk Show

Yesterday we braved the weather and went to the Suffolk show. It was cold and rainy but there were a few highlights. Walking around we bumped into Harry’s daughter,Kate and the two grandsons. Then we went and watched his eldest daughter, Samantha get 2nd in the Dartmoor and Shetland pony class.

Reorganising the conservatory

Over the weekend I spent a lot of time tidying and resorting the conservatory so I can use it for sewing as it has a lovely big table. Here it is at its tidiest.
